The other day, while driving along Highway 5A between Kamloops and Merritt, I thought it would be fun to make an album dedicated to how much these areas feel like you're in a Western movie.
While most of the shots in this album are out of my X-T5, this intruder was taken with my Alpha 6700. While I find that the Fuji lends itself better to this style, this one seems to match pretty good.
If you want to get into the Western movie vibe, I highly recommend checking out Spences Bridge. Its most recognizable landmark is the old Nlaka'pamux church.

The Crowsnest Highway between Hope and Osoyoos definitely has that Western movie feel as well!
Makeshift road signs on the Crowsnest Highway, near Hedley
Pine trees sprinkled onto this barren landscape
If you want dead giveaways for a dry place, look for sagebrush and old wood scraps. That wood can lay there for a very long time without any moss ever growing on it and breaking it down.
The Similkameen river winding its way through the mountains, currently brown because though it was almost 30 degrees when I took this photo, it's still technically spring.
This album started with a road shot, so let's close it with another road shot: the Crowsnest Highway winding through sagebrush-covered slopes.
